Hello,

I am interested in modifying my wagon tank, to allow better position for fuel supply/return lines.

Do I need to use special metal?

This will probably lead me on to making an entire tank  Roll Eyes, what is the easiest, simplest cheapest way?

Any help appreciated

Cheers

I would say you would need to get one made from alloy and welded professionally, unless you know how to weld alloy. Sheet metal will be a bitch to weld and seal unless you are using 3-4mm thick stuff like my father-in-law used for a diesel tank.

G'day Ed,

On my aluminium tank I used 2 mm and 3mm plate that I cut and bent myself. Then I got someone to weld it up for me.

The one that I heard of today was a guy who makes tanks out of 10mm plastic. You supply dimensions and he makes it.
That was through Rick from Radical Early Holdens up here in Cairns... He would have the contact number if you wanted to go that way...approx cost $300.00

Cheers
Jason.
