Hey Rich, welcome to the forum.

This place is like an interactive wikipedia of knowledge and experience for FEs & FCs, as well as a bucket load of knowledge about most other related cars too.

Don't be shy about asking questions these guys all love to help.

Pinky.

Thanks alot guys ! really appreciate the welcome !
I will try to post some photos when i work out how to do it ! lol.
Really excited about my project. I was planning on making one good ute out of two ?
Not sure yet.One is a special and the other a standard i think.
There are a few differences like one has a blinker stalk and the other doesnt, one has chrome tailights
the other doesnt etc etc. Im just starting out and really havent gone over them fully yet .
Thanks again for the welcome,i feel relieved and grateful for the future help !

Gday and welcome, as the others have said, there is a wealth of knowledge on the forum and all are willing to help. You may want to look at the technical site on the start page, if you type in your body numbers and other details, you will find out the info on both utes.
All the best and post some shots when you work it out (it's not that hard when you get use to it) Jim

Hi Rich,

As the others have said, welcome to the forum. I too am restoring an FC ute. You'll most likely have a shed full of questions about your cars, all of which can be answered here. Remember there are no silly questions on this forum, only the one you don't ask. Good luck with your project(s).

Cheers Rusty

I feel like I have asked some silly ones but have only been given good answers (and then during my build figured out why- like I can't run ABS on a stub axle)
Cheers

Well, probably not everybody, but certainly many of us from NSW will be there. Wink

The FE-FC Holden Car Club of NSW will have a club display of vehicles as we always do. It's one of the highlights of the calendar, the NSW All Holden Day.

Thank you again everyone for your warm welcomes!
After going over my two FC utes on the weekend i am beginning to get a better idea of what i am in for !
Between the two of them i have most parts that i need {i think}.
Unfortunately though i only have one tailgate and its very beat up and rusty and almost unsalvagable.
I was hoping that someone may be able to point me in the right direction as far as picking one up.
The one i have has all the hardware and locking mechanism etc but the inner and outer skins are almost gone.
Sorry to ask for something so early after joining the club but i may need alot of time to find one.
Thank you once again for your welcomes and generosity in advice and help !
I will be attending the all holden day this coming Sunday and looking forward to meeting members of
my new fc Holden family !
