They're the real deal. Not sure how realistic Steve's prices are though. I guess if you don't ask, you won't get. Certainly no others out there. Regards Alex

I think id rather a brock torana or something a bit more significant for the money . At the end of the day its still an ek with a grey motor his other cars have all been at the high end around 40K 1million dollars for a EK really cmon..
This is my opinion only not trying to upset anyone.

I imagine the EBay posting is more a disguised ad for the auction.

Fairly common for Steve to advertise cars that "are not really for sale" at prices that will raise "interest" in the cheaper ones (25 - 30K) he has at upcoming auctions etc.
Once a salesman always a salesman
BUT
Of course he says it is all in the interest of bringing new members to the NSW FB EK Car Clubs, so good on him for being so selfless!

Also he has the ascot grey fc standard for sale on this sight. have never met the guy but have spoke on the phone a few times i think he has eyes in every corner of the country lookin out for em for him..

As everyone here has been so polite, I feel it is beHolden on me to continue to be so.
Frankly, these asking prices are laughable.
Every iteration of the grey motor Holden was slower than the previous one to the point where one of the prettiest Holden's of all, the EJ, was one of the strongest and slowest. And of course then came the red motor with seven main bearings, smoothness and durability undreamed of for grey motor owners. Regrettably the poor old FB/EK lacked the elegance of the FE/FC or the great proportions of the EJ and of course the red motor of the EH, arguably the best proportioned Holden sedan ever.
I'm not aware of the vendor's motives in the various recent auctions in which cars have been offered however, I have learnt that that you cant dictate to the market. At best you can seek to educate it. I guess we will see if this education process is effective.
