I had heard (years ago) a place called Recar could do it, but I'd be glad to hear of any confirmed workshops

Dave give Jason at Transteer a call. His number is 8365 0201, his work shop is at 26 Barnett St. Glynde. They specialise in power steering, Auto transmissions etc. He rebuilt my modified steering rack. He owns a really nice modified FB sedan, is very helpful and a nice guy as well. If he can't do it I'm sure he can point you in the right direction.
Cheers Ole.

theres also a bloke, either on this forum of fb, that does them, but with a modern upgrade, with roller bearing instead of bushes and few other things, he also modifies them for a synchro box if required
i can remember his name, but he also advertises on ebay, fc/fe under synchro steering box

You might be thinking of Roger Hancock, or holdenmanrestomotive. He is located in Ferntree Gully in Victoria and really knows his stuff.

Had one Steering box rebuilt about a year ago and he does a top quality job on the box, and with the rollers in it lightens the steering just a little (or feels like it anyway), brilliant to deal with and will ship it back and forth if needed.

or email him on:
holdenmanrestomotive  AT  gmail  DOT  com  Dot  au

have also PM'd his mobile number if you want to have a chat with him.
