Hello all
Been following your forum for a while, thought it might be time to show my old rocket.

My car was originally purchase by my grandfather, brand new in '59.  He sold it a few years later to an uncle who sold it to another uncle, who owned it for 40 years.  He nearly sold it to me when I first got my licence, changed his mind but after 15 years of perstering he finally let it go to me earlier this year.

She is pretty much orginal, except for the wheels.  Mechanically she is pretty good (despite a clutch issue during my first ever drive!)

Needs some body work, a little rust here and there, and could do with new paint - hope to save up the cash to have this done over the next year or two!

Love owning her and love the heads she turns when I am out in her!

Cheers

Hi Shannon,
Great colour combo.
It's always nice to have something with a little sentimental value.

You are Lucky to score such a nice FC.
You are even luckier to have your Grandfathers FC.
Good luck with the resto.

A nice looking car.  A very good base to start from and certainly nice to have an original car from your family.  Best of luck with the resto.

Thanks for the positive comments, much appreciated.

I must admit i love the green, probably not my first choice if buying a new car but for the late 50's period it works well - we actually have a 1950's stove that matches perfectly !

I took it for its first decent run over the weekend, probably the furthest it has travelled in one hit for over 20 years - went very smoothly around some challenging roads.

Cheers

Hello
I have added a few photos of the interior - bit like the exterior, needs a little work but pretty good for 53 years old.
