Hi all
I'm just starting to reco my grey motor, and heard there is another type of seal instead of the graphite rope,
any truth in this?

There is a neoprene seal, if they are still available.

If you can't get one
Try a company called hallite in Victoria
They will more then likely have one on the shelf, but you'll need to know the sizes to .001"

And if not they can fab 1 up for you
I use this company all the time for custom seals and standard seals in hydraulic applications,
