tailgate lock

I'm swapping the broken handle off the wagon tailgate, for one that isn't broken 

I managed to get the tailgate handle off the spare tailgate without any instructions 
(my workshop manual shows how to pull apart a sedan boot but not a wagon tailgate  )

But I don't have a key that fits the lock of the replacement handle 

How do I (or craig to be  precise) remove the barrels so I can swap them

There is an absolutely magnificent article with pictures on the FB EK forum showing exactly how to do this. Basically you need to locate a tiny pin down the end near the sliding lock and tap it out with a small pin punch. The pin is about 2mm in diameter.
