Hi!  I was told by my mechanic that I needed to replace my LH inner sill but went to rare spares and the repro piece doesn't have the circles pressed into it.  Would anyone know if there is a more authentic repro available on a retail basis, or should I cut mine out and take it to a fabricator for a one-off?
thanks very much

I'm in the same boat, as far as I know, the repos are just flat. I've had a mate try to press them in, but the panel just kept bending up so he said it was to hard unless you have the original pressings and the press to do it in. So it looks like the flats are the only way to go.

I had some circles made up to be tacked or welded on, but I never bothered to use them, they are in the shed somewhere, if you get stuck I'll have a look for them

That would be great fatboy,
I for one would be very interested in purchasing a set of inner sills that also looked right.
Very happy that people are making repros but would be even better if they could match original(made in 1956)
need to find someone with a big enough press
here's hoping

Cheers Stewy   Cool

Howie if you go to page 5 on the EH parts catgy, you will find a ute behind the seat [rust repair] panel.
As you can see in the pic there is 2 diff sized pressed circles, this could be the man for the job, good luck, Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

thanks guys........fatboy, where are you located?......my father in law is a fitter&turner/bolier maker so I could either take a NOS one and ask hime to ask a fabricator friend or if fatboy is too far away, i could try to cut the good one out and do that and its mirror, assuming there's a difference (the rare spares repro looks to b all of 2 folds).  Once we can find a fabricator who can actually do it, i'll ask him to make plenty!
cheers

Maybe you could use the flat ones, then get a hole flanger to form the lip and weld a disc over the top... presto raised circles!
