g'day,
My FC Ute has a badly rusted one of these and no-one seems to fabricate a replacement section and it was mentioned that these only rusted on utes, so I should look to cut one out from a sedan or wagon donor subframe.  Would anyone be able to point me in the direction of a good one?
much appreciated

Check out Slim's 'Wrecking FC Special' in the Parts For Sale section. If you scroll through to the photos, there's a pic of it from underneath. The bit you want looks ok.

sorry, but i'll phrase it differently and hopefully clarify (and i'm still trying to find the authoritative source of subframe member names), i'm after the Front Bracket Assembly "Subframe Member" for the Rear Spring Hanger and not the Rear Bracket Assembly for the Rear Spring Hanger.  Hope that all made sense.  If someone could teach me how to attach a photo I could draw a red circle around the piece i'm after since the Insert Image icon only adds html tags of and I can't find the way to upload or attach the photo?
thanks again and sorry to be a pain in the butt

From what I understand - you need the piece of chassis that runs from the sill inboard to the rear spring front attaching bracket. It is not a subframe that bolts in, it is welded in place and is part of the body structure.

Is this right?

You have to upload the pictures to places like Photobucket (in lots) or Tinypic (singles) and then insert the picture's "URL" (www thingy) in between the tags. HTH
There are some detailed instructions here - http://fefcholden.org.au/forum/index.php/topic,5613.0.html

I think it is the piece of chassis to the left of there - it runs from the rear spring hanger to the sill
