Did anyone see the two bumper bars that recently sold on ebay. They were in reasonably good condition.
One went for 590 and the other for 645??? Shocked Shocked. Am I off the mark or is that ridiculous  Huh I think I stopped at 250. You could get them newly chromed for that price couldn't you!

Nick, bumpers are very expensive to have chromed - as much as 10 years ago it was costing $1000 to chrome a pair of bumpers for an FE. Its because there are so many pieces. An FE special has 12 pieces whilst an FC special has 11. At even $100 a piece - it adds up real quick. Roll Eyes

Ive been getting quotes and each bumper as Ken said would be minimum $600 and thats what the guy said would be an average job, he said show condition, including all the other bit over $1000 if I got them to do the bumpers properly. So I'd suggest you make friends with someone on a chroming forum!!! Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

But I think with this process, you actually do get what you pay for. You could do some of the work yourself to save bucks. or just get a second mortgage on the house.

There's a rechromed bar on ebay $599 without the over riders, so maybe thats not a bad price. I was quoted around 4-5 years ago $110 per section.
