if you buy a car in vic,can you pay the transfer.
put the car in your name.
without suppling a r.w.c.
any help...
You can purchase a car, fill out the transfer papers with the owner, you take the papers to VICROADS & the car will be in your name. They then send you your reg/papers & they then tell you that you have 28 days to supply a RWC.It's a great buying point knowing you can retain the plates & the seller is more comfortable that your driving off & it's out of his name. All the auction houses like Fowles sell reg cars & they do the transfer INHOUSE FOR YOU,straight away, you only go to VICROADS after you get your RWC for reg.
it's easy to assume the worst but VICROADS does have some good points.
