I think the nylon things are for later gearboxes and such trinnions  or whatever they call them are not used on all gearboxes.

They go on the selector lever so it pushes the gearlever sideways I think. I'd look for mine if it weren't for shit everywhere

I just looked at a column I just took out of the Fe and it has the washer looking ones on the rod where the split pins are on column end. One on each side on the inner so rod is separated. Hope this helps

Here, I got changed and climbed under the car for you for some strange reason  Huh

Im not sure if your talking about the actual rod separators, which mine doesnt have and mines a late fc and my fe doesnt either. But you could be talking about the little washer thingies in the photos. I believe its to stop the metal on metal occurring, but they are probably in the generic kit for the ek and fb, so put em on id think as its an improvement obviously.

can u send me a pic of what they actually look like? Its something id like to know anyway KEN!

Ken probably has some ha ha or many and would know what they exactly look
 like.

Thats dedication. So what time is it over there. 5:00pm. Seriously though Deano it is great the support people provide to others and is a credit to everyone including your good self. I know I appreciate your humour and good nature when you respond to mine and others posts.

Thanks Wayne. Its good when people give something back even if they might look like a tool or something, but there are many that just ask and never give back. I think humour is the only way to survive this stupid rebuilding thing  Cheesy
