Springs cannot be resized - why not buy a stiffer FE FC front spring?

Oh I see, I have seen springs manufactured with a narrow end to bolt into the retainer, but there is no reason why you could not remove the old retainer at the front of the spring and fit a larger one and fit a stepped shackle or wider shackle retainer if you really wanted to fit the later springs.

 Hey Ken,
thanks again i will study a bit more ? run original springs with the shortened BW 78 first see how it goes and keep the hr ones and modify later if needed.
