Has anyone had trouble with clutch shutter before ?

Im running stock as a rock set up except for a 3.36 centre stocko wheels.

So im guessing springs have come from the clutch plate or are damaged ..

The only other time i have come across this is by accidentally bending the pressure plate trying to jam the gearbox in,. But mine has only started doing it.

Mayebe some oil or something has got on to the plate, that will make em shudder a bit.

fchoon

I would suggest looking at the following possible causes;

* soft or broken engine or gearbox mounts
* loose bellhousing bolts
* cracked bellhousing
* cracked or broken gearbox crossmember
* sticking clutch slave or master cylinders
* and as said before oil or other debris on the flywheel

Hope this helps, cheers Wayne

When i did my clutch i removed the flywheel to be machined. In the back of the block there is a welch plug, mine was rusted through, so possibly coolant, but you would notice the level constantly dropping.

Hmm well maybe its the stupid lowering blocks making the diff shudder i know they were rocking as i was running a rubber under the foot of the mount.
 or it uses a little water could be that but its not dripping i will start with the obvious and take the rubber out of the base of the lowering block and then i will work my way forward.

The other thing to look for is a cracked throw out fork, The extra pressure of taking off with a 3.36 diff puts a lot more load on the clutch than it was designed for.

Hopefully i will get the shed wired in the coming weeks and i can get my hoist going might drop the box out and check the pressure plate throw out fork ect.
Starter motor sticks a bit so might kill two birds with one stone.
