Re-activating my FE after it has been "Idle" for 8 years and (surprise) the front brakes were siezed ... Managed to back off the brake shoes and get the drum off one side but the near side will not budge ... Tried backing off the brake cylinder but the adjusting cover of the wheel cylinder is siezed on both ends ... One can of WD40 and two weeks later it won't budge ...got to it with a big hammer but no good ... got a BIGGER hammer but no good ... got a F#### big hammer but still jammed ... Short of attacking it with an angle grinder , has anyone got any ideas ?? Will removing the bolt from the brake anchor help ? If I have to resort to more violence (ie , the angle grinder) , has anyone got a set of drums for sale Regards , Dave .

what about bolting an old rim on, then welding a long bar/tube to it and trying to crack it that way

If time is not important, a good extended soak with neat Molasses will kill the rust. May take a few days of application (because soaking in a Molasses bath is not possible).

Can only really think of getting a puller onto it and try yanking it off that way but you might have to sacrifise the bearing dust cover in the centre to do so.

Im guessing you have already tried sitting the car on the ground with its own weight on the wheels and rocking it back and forth?
this seems to free up stuck drums when the handbrake has been left on and car not driven over a long period.
Cheers

"now all I need is two new Wheel cylinders !!!"
You could have a brake service place repair your old cylinders or have them re sleeved with stainless steel. Probably cheaper than new cylinders

David,
You could try Nepean Spares, St Marys NSW, ask for Geoff, they will have them.
Cheers John
