Front Guard - to salvage or not?

Just wanting some opinions

Apart from the usual crap, like front gone in front guards, what if the entire rear lip of the guard is rusted through and also other bits right through? Is this pretty normal or not? What's the advice - to fix it or get better ones or reproduction? What's the options.

The taxi guard looks like a taxi guard, wire and crap holding it together.

IMHO i think that most parts can be salvaged, with a bit of skill and lots of patience, Most guards will need to be repaired in some manner.
Give it a go! if you muck it up then get one in better shape.

I agree that most things can be salvaged, but the question is - Is it worth salvaging? I would say that a better guard is not that hard to find, one that only needs the usual stuff like headlight upper and lower rear.

I agree with Ken
Unless you have an emotional attachment to the car, find a better starting point and spend your time saved on the next repair. You can practice frenching in the headlight, or mounting up the quad lights on the old guard.

Thanks guys. I have so much to do on the Fe I think best to look for few others and toy with these.
