Just putting it out there has anyone tried this? Reason is for a V8 and will remove the need to pay big money on getting an aluminum radiator and thermo fan.

Mate anything will fit its just a matter of measuring and modifying the radiator support panel, while the aluminium radiators made to order are probably a brilliant thing I'm from the "old skool" way of building cars. Basically I make, adapt or scrounge parts to put and keep my cars on the road, and while it would be great to just ring and order all the parts you need and have them delivered I think it would take some of the fun out of the building/fabricating side of things for me. Obviously that doesn't extend to engine rebuilds, suspension or brake components Wink

Should fit ,but I am not overly familiar with FE,s  you will have to cut out your side panels and notch your bottom rails a bit am guessing , also the v6 commodore radiators fit pretty good with the same mods .

Reckon you will still have to fit thermos , depending on where your motor ends up sitting , will not be huge amounts of room for a fan

Hers a couple pics of my EK one , might give you some ideas

I had a HQ radiator in my v8 EK ute, the side panels were cut but the crossmember/frame rails were stock. But couldn't fit a fan so had twin thermos in front of radiator.

Just letting you know I have fitted a VB V8 alloy radiator into my FC.

I have had to recess into the front subframe, quite simple as the width of the radiator fits neatly inside the outer rail. I have had to modify the filler neck and bring it out a further 25mm to clear the top radiator support brace.

With fitting a 304 Inj. the room on both sides is very limited so I will need to modify the front grill mounting assy to fit the 14 or 16 inch thermo fan.

I will post some photos once completed if that helps.

Good Luck

sorry been some time but I have picked up two new VS commodore radiators for free. They seam to line up and not as high as the HQ radiator. They have two bottom mount pins and quess would need a top mount braket. Maybe mod a vs top support panel.
