I was told they have only about 300 car entries for Wintersun, and they are cancelling some events due to poor numbers.

Cooly here I come.

Cheers

I'll be keen to hear how Port Macquarie goes after the weekend. For the committee's sake, I hope it all works out for them. I've gigged at Wintersun (Cooly) the last couple of years and seen a handful of humble organizers work there asses off to make it all happen... can't justify travelling that far this time around though... so...

Bring on Cooly Rocks On!

I was up at the Gold Coast for work on Monday and Tuesday and got a chance to have a look at the Cooly Rocks cars yesterday.

Some nice rides including early finned Cadillac's, Buick's, Ford's, American Pickups, Camaro's, Dodge Charger's, VW Beetle's, a couple of Hearse's complete with rear passengers and a handful of Holdens including a lonely but nice single colour blue FC.

The esplanade had a good vibe with plenty of fifties period dressed people and the weather was pleasantly warm (hot compared to Sydney at the moment).  Should be a good event.   Cheesy Cheesy

seems they are going to be moving wintersun around or maybe just looking for a better spot cause i've heard next year will be at coffs harbour
personally i think they've "shot themselves in the foot" by moving it and there'll be no gonig back

having been there a couple of times the organiser used to say shop owners weren't happy and council didn't want it there, just about every shop had signs in the windows saying they suport the event and it was council that put there hand up to look for people to run a new event there (that i know of it's not council run)

Just got back home. Cooly Rocks on was a huge success most of the rain
stayed away. There were plenty of cars to see some nice Fe and Fcs.
I got a sore left leg in the Saturday night cruise it took us over an hour and
a half to do two laps but good fun. The countdown to next year begins.
