Hi Cat , There is no difference between a sedan and wagon bumper. Rear bumpers are the same on all FE & FC,s sedans and wagons, but utes and vans have bumperettes. The only diifference in the front bars is the fe Specials had the " guard piece" around the No plate. The Fe standards , commercials and FC,s did not have this guard section on the front bar .
Hope this helps
Regards Mick

Micks rite on the money. No difference in sedan and wagon Bumpers. Also Van and Ute are inter changable. If you can find them ! Here something else for your fe/fc trivia, Did you know that fb / ek sedan bootlids are the same as fe/fc , they bolt staight on , only difference is the boot mould.

So then the FE and FC front bumpers are the same, except for the number plate surround which can just be screwed on to the FC bumper if need be.......thanks Slim! Cat

No, the FE FC front bumpers are NOT the same. An FC front bumper does NOT have the holes to be able to bolt a number plate overrider on. Only the FE front bumper has those. Interestingly though, the centre section of an FE is the same front and back, and is also the same as the FC rear. Front bumpers are the same on all FE's, sedan wagon ute van. On the commercials, they did not use the NP overrider, but the holes are there. It's the same for FC's, but no holes. Regards Alex

Thanks Alex. So that means the only difference between the two is that that the FC front bumper has no holes for the numberplate overrrider. If so, then is it uncool to drill holes to fit the FE overrider on the FC bumper? Cat

Dont worry Cat, It was common practice to fit the front surround from an FE onto a FC bumper, I reckon its cool cause I like lotsa shiny bits and the front number plate looks better ChrisB

Personally, I think the FC grille looks heavy enough without adding a number-plate over-rider as well, but an FE bumper centre on an FC is just the shot for fitting fog-lamps!
