Can anyone tell me, original FC Ute seats,

1. Were they ever two-tone or just the single colour. Despite the apparent colour difference in the picture, looking at pieces that have been protected from the elements the vinyl appears to be the same colour on both sections Huh

2. Were they all fitted with a rear "apron" that covered the gap between the seat and the rear window.

Stinky

Yes & yes, single colour with design as per pic with a flapper on the back, from memory the flapper / apron has a rod or a bow in it that then attaches to rear of the cab

Thanks Gary, the flapper with bow is intact, it's just weird how the top of the seat's colour has changed so dramatically to the lower section and exactly along the piping line across the seat  Huh

Stinky,

Maybe different dye lots in the material? one not as resistant to fading?

This seat was also fitted with the nasco clear plastic seat cover, and is brittle compared to lower section. An FE i have also was fitted with these seat covers and the burgundy vinyl is black and burnt also on the upper sections front and rear, obviously got the most direct sunlight.
cheers
