At our club meeting last Tuesday, one of our members put forward a very interesting suggestion about the timing of the Nats.
The proposal will be taken to Queeensland for discussion at the delegates meeting but I thought some general opinions would be good as well.
Wayne's suggestion was to bring forward the 2007 Nationals (still at Easter) to line up with the 50th anniversary year of the birth of the FE (in 2006). The follow on from that would  also mean the 2008 Nats would be in line with the FC's Golden year.
How does the proposal sound? Cheesy
cheers,
Leigh

Leigh,

I think it will be your club's turn to host it.  How do you feel about slicing a year off your preparation time? Wink

cheers

RET,
It wouldn't be a problem hosting early. I'm keen and the Vic club is going strong with good membership & sitting pretty financially. Feeling amongst the members at the meeting (if we were to host) was very good.
It's a bit sad I've missed the Qld show but am now looking to Canberra Nats. Have been to 3 others so I know what a great time I'll be missing.
cheers,
Leigh

I'm all for it.
It means I would be able to attend the Hot Rod Nationals in between.  Grin

What a great idea match the nationals to the release dates of the FE FC.
If Victoria is happy to do it, why not
