Yes I would agree if someone was going to make a reproduction of the grey motor lifting hook,I think there would be a few of us that would buy one, myself included  Smiley

I have a genuine COXHEAD grey engine lifter for sale ($200). Philby has the first right of refusal. This one is made of 20 mm thick steel , which looks like it is machined at the ends to fit around the manifold.

Hi Fink FC,
This sounds like an improved version with some good points.
But like they all say a picture is worth a thousand words, so when you can i'm sure everyone would like to see it  Wink

Hi All,
I saw one of these a while ago at a tool show.
Ebay Item #300523985240
So far I don't need one myself, but if I ever have to pull the engine out again, I will definitely be buying one.
You can bolt it on to the engine anywhere you like, or sling it with rope, webbing, or whatever.
Maybe not for everybody, but I thought it was just magic.
Cheers,
Gaz

The photos have been uploaded to the following link......

THE PHOTOS SHOW HOW EASY THE TOOL IS BOLTED TO THE MOTOR ITS A 1 MAN OPERATION.WITH THE G/BOX STILL FITTED AND THE D/BOLT POSITIONED AS IN PHOTO, YOU CAN LIFT AND REMOVE WITHOUT EVEN DROPPING THE REAR G/BOX MOUNT.
