The Berwick Swap was cancelled due to the unprecedented amount of water that fell on us Friday and Saturday.   Angry  The gully area was under more than 1M of water at least 100M wide and flowing very fast.  We got the stall holders from there out at 9.00pm Friday, any later and they would have been washed away.  The oval was holding 100mm of water and just could not drain away.  The rain kept up all Saturday and most of the roads around Berwick were blocked, so access for many people would have been impossible. Even still we were turning people away up to 9.00am Saturday.

As yet the DVHCC Inc. has not made a decision as to re-schedule or not because Akoonah Park is usually fully booked and at present is in need of major repairs especially the oval.

Keeep watching the DVHCC Inc. Web Site http://www.dvhcc.com.au for any up-dates.

Cheers, Kevin

Very disappointed about the weather and the cancellation. No ones fault, but i made the trip from Granya, (Albury/Wodonga) to go to probably the best swap of the year and to take in the Druin swap on Sunday, only to have one of the freakiest storms to pass through Melbourne ruin my plans. Thanks very much YASI.
