HI ALL I'VE HAD MY FC NOW FOR ABOUT SIX MONTHS AND WAS WANTING TO PUT A RED IN IT WITH A FOUR SPEED AND WAS WONDERING IF YOU CAN STILL RUN IT FROM THE COLUMN. I'VE SEEN THE PICS ON HOW TO MAKE THE BRACKETS FOR THE FOUR SPEED ON THE FLOOR WITH THE BENCH AND WAS CONSIDERING DOING THAT BUT I LIKE THE COLUMN IDEA AND WANTED TO KNOW IF IT HAD BEEN DONE BEFORE. ANY IMPUT WOULD BE APPRECIATED CHEERS JDE

Some Nissan vans had a column 5 speed, I wouldn't think that it would be too hard to adapt the column to suit, if that is what you were wanting to do. You would be able to use the Dellow adapter kit to fit the gearbox from the van, use the front section of the tailshaft, have one made to suit with a holden rear end or whatever rear end you intend using. Linkages would have to made, but you could use the relay points from the Nissan and copy their design to make them work in a Holden.

Our old 1985 Nissan urvan had a collapsible column with five on the tree. Seen plenty at the wreckers in recent years.
