It's getting closer, here is a pic of the test sample, obviously the final products won't be this colour.
Production will be after Christmas now, with an anticipated arrival in the first half of next year.
At this stage I will be getting a roll each of Off-White/Light Grey, Light Blue and Light Green.

Comments anyone? Good and/or Bad please.
There's a lot of my time and money going into this so I want to make sure the "market" will buy it.

Stinky,

Have you got a price list. And do you have a bigger photo of the material.

Cheers Rusty

Initial estimates were $60-70 per metre, 3 metres should do a sedan roof lining and have enough left for the visors. I won't know the final cost for little while yet.

Undecided I don't think black was a very good choice of sample colour.

Hi Stinky,

Firstly well done for taking on such a project. It is hard to tell from the sample. Maybe you should take a photo of an original piece and put them side by side, that may make it easier to judge. You have the sample and the original in the flesh, what do you think?

Cheers,
Graham

Firstly well done for taking on such a project.

I'll second that. Well done Stinky, and thanks for taking the time to research and commit to such a thing.

Stinky,

The first half of next year sounds good to me because that's about when I will be needing a "Light Gray" hood liner for a ute (FC). I'm with Jamie, when you get the material start making me one, and I've voted as well. Email me when it's done.

Cheers and good luck with the venture,

Rusty.

Hi Stinky,

I vote hell yeah.
Not sure if you intended on this page becoming an order form, but I will buy an off-white set for a sedan.

Thank you for your efforts.

Thanks Guys, that's more encouraging, especially when I am 1 Gorilla into this venture already.
I won't be taking orders just yet, SMS have a reputation for quality that doesn't disappoint, but they also have a reputation for taking an exceedingly long time to do things.

Not yet, I have asked for them to send a sample over, as soon as it arrives I scan them together.

Glenn,

That is pretty close for my money, although I am not doing a "restoration" but still want the  interior to look standard.

From the photo, which is difficult to tell to see if it is exactly the same, it looks to be very close.

Put me down for one

Glenn,
I will give you an opinion as soon as I can compare sample photo (beside & at same scale) original lining photo.
Until then, 'keep on trucking'.

Hi Glenn,

The patterns of swirls looks extremely close to the sample you sprayed black in your original post (http://fefcholden.org.au/forum/index.php/topic,15438.0.html), the top sample in this side-by-side.

The main limitation in making the comparison is the quality of their scan. I reckon that it will be great...sign me up.
