If I was going to be a really picky bastard, I'd say make the rego label on the windscreen one from the 1950s or 60s, not the computer printed ones of today (which I think you have in the picture at present).

I wish I was so talented that the only thing a bloke could comment on about my car drawing was the bloody rego label! Shocked

Thanks for all the input.
I have changed the little girl, I guess the size is about right. I know the legs and feet are wrong but I still don't like her.
I think this week I will try a combination of the two and see how that comes out.

One day I will get it right.

Don't worry Mike, if she did that to my car I wouldn't like her either  Grin.

I had a piece of spare canvas board so I painted the girl again, not with too much detail but enough to get the idea, this time combining the two. I have then added to the original painting using photoshop. A hell of a lot easier than continuously paint one girl over the other.I think I will give this one a go. Although the idea of a young boy with a hammer is a good one.

That now seems to "sit" right by my untrained eye....

Lookin' great, Mike.  It doesn't matter how cute you draw the little girl though, she still should get a smack!

Mike,

I am amazed at the amount of work that has already gone into this. Absolutely outstanding.

The car's a perfect match; if the bloke was 2 foot shorter you'd swear that was Charlie Boozer and one of his girls Grin Grin

I love this thread, great work Mike.

Hi Wayne,

I'm afraid there is no plans on doing a painting of the FE. Fine motor vehicle that it is. This is in memory of my FC that I just sold. Something to remember it by that is a little more personal than a photograph.

Charlie Boozer is the nickname of one of the NSW Club Members, who is blessed with 4 daughters. You'd travel a long way to meet a nicer bloke.

It is really looking good - I can see the trouble you're having with the child and the shadow line etc, but when you get it right it will just slap you in the face.
