i have a few engine numbers here if anyone can tell me what they are out of

also what the letter p stands for on the end?

I think they're police issued numbers.

Ace is right they are police numbers one from WA the other SA.

Before the RTA took over engine number identification, the police used to issue engine numbers. So when you bought a new block from GMH and fitted it, you toddled off down to your local cop shop and got a new number for it.

so not engines out of police cars just numbers the police have stamped on ?

so what cars would they have been in ?

Any sort of car at all - from ex taxis to cars which have blown a head gasket and stuffed the motor.
