Hi Wasim,
Have you seen the February edition of Cruzin magazine? On page 35 there is picture of a Sth Aust. FE with the same type of quad headlight guards as yours that dates back to 1971.

Today I made a cardboard template of the cover to go inside the firewall to allow the triple SU's to fit  Transferred it to the metal sheet and cut it out  Formed the metal to the shape   And it fits   Next weekend - weld it all up. Wasim |

The car is finally painted  Headlining, door rubbers, front and rear screens are in  This week it's block and polish the paint work and hang the doors  And next weekend it comes home for final assembly. Wasim |

Added all the bling to the passengers side today and the tail lights with the bullet lenses.   Car is fairly straight   Does anyone know the 'trick' to fitting the plate over the boot barrel lock? Spent hours trying to push that plate over the barrel to lock it in!!!!! A lot of people have asked if the wheels are staying on the car? No their not - I have some 13 x 7's with chrome dress rings and restored stainless original hub caps. Won't be doing anything for the 3 weeks - off to the UK. Thanks, Wasim |

If your boots off I can get my fat hand in there to do the clip up with it off.

Thanks - I have long skinny fingers and still couldn't do it!
I tried pliers after reading the manual as well. Lucky you don't see it - because I would have scratched the living daylights out of it.
I guess I just have to 'drink 6 bourbon and cokes first'?

It may sound silly but your palm needs to be flat against the inside of the boot dont just stick jour hand in so your knuckles are facing the panel sounds weird but try it just get your arm in the right position.
