fnc

Did you also replace the flexible hose that goes between the line from the Master cylinder to the slave cylinder? as these can become clogged & restricted

Hi .. had same problem on mine when I replaced Master and slave cylinder ..when I bled the slave cylinder, all the air was out and still stuck halfway and you could pull it up by hand. I adjusted the adjusting rod on the top of the clutch pedal under the dash as much as I could, and then did some finer adjustments on the slave cylinder adjustment rod .. play around with the adjustments, but check your flexible line as well .. hope this helps .. Regards Stephen ..

Have you checked the Over Centre Adjustment on the clutch pedal?  If this is not adjusted correctly you can have the one of the following conditions: Stiff clutch operation, Excessively slow clutch engagement or clutch pedal not returning fully.  The adjustment procedure is outlined on page 181 of the service manual.
