hi guys,just trying to install a boot seal and are having problems knowing which way this rubber seal goes...tip of the rubber facing into the boot or facing outside...cheers mike

I can't tell you what the way it was from the factory.
I tried mine both ways and found that when the tip of the rubber faced the outside, when the boot was closed you could see a line of rubber sticking up around the boot lid, so I have mine facing inside.

mc54 has it right - if the lip of the seal faces outwards, any moisture goes into the boot area, with the lip of the seal facing inwards, moisture is kept out of the boot.
