Hey all Holden gurus are there different types of Grey motor distributors or are they all Bosch as I was given one and was told it was for a Grey and it is delco remy but I dont have any others to judge it by.

Delco did supply distributors and other auto-electrics early on in the piece. I'm not sure when the transition to Bosch was, but at a guess it's probably off an FX / FJ

From my memory of reading "She's a Beauty" by Don Loffler I believe the Delco Remy was supplied for the 48-215 (FX), the transition to BOSCH happened some time during 1949.

Someone may be able to pick holes in that explanation but it is discussed in detail in the book so I will have another look at it tonight.
