Hi Pete
This is an awesome build, totally jealous. How good is it to have your skills &  their equipment at your hands like that.
( pity NES wouldn't invest in some new gear, ie grinder guard for starters ) Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Stayed back yeste arvo and finished all insert panels for the FC
So i did a morning run and dropped them all off .
Dont stress there is a 3mm channel welded in face down under where the seat bolts so the seat holds the front false panel in and the rear ones we havent thought that far yet..

floors done tho happy as a pig in poo ..
Home by christmas..

If you haven't grown up by 50, you don't have to.

I can only take a small amount of credit .

If it wasnt for the chop shops Lack of respect i suppose you could put it for old cars it would not have been at this stage.
They certainlly are not scared to cut up a good car.. Grin

And there mini truck influence is fantastic they think outside the square on everything...

Front end coming soon..

Like everyone has already stated, your build is fantastic and inspirational. The quality of workmanship and attention to detail is a credit to all involved. This type of build can only portray a positive image for our sport/hobby. I have just read an article about a Chop Shop employees truck in the latest Street Machine mag and you're right, they do good quality stuff.
Regards Ole.

Aarons truck is pretty tidy.

My mate dave painted it after work everyday and panel work all of a night for a few months a lot of work and not the best working conditions and he still picked up 3rd at motorex for best paint and panel..
hes painting the FC so should be a good paint job.

Pete what about the weak point [crown wheel and pinion] Keysbrough diffs in VIC  were making them a few years back and made for  an unbreakable final member having said that the Commodore turbo boys have put over 500 HP through a standard diff .....FC427.....

A bloke that come into work has a RB26/30 combo with a 5 speed with billet input shaft and os gigen gear set stock vl turbo diff.
He has blown a few centres but is making 975hp at the rear wheels so my 550hp roughlly should be fine.
Mine is auto which is less stressful and no transbrake.

He recentlly had the flywheel explode taking out the back of the engine, stuffed a 2500 dollar clutch and sheared the input shaft off, the remains of the flywheel went thru the bellhousing, floor, and parts were stuck in the dash. he was very lucky not to loose his feet..

What a day

Im stuffed sore knees welding grinding, welding ,grinding, blow black boogers out, welding grinding.

But shes on the rotiseree
Thanks to murray and Laurie and the fans boys out the back we got her on there.
Aaron came off his skateboard doing warp speed so he has bark off him everywhere all messed up and out of action.
I blended in new flat floors to rails.
cleaned up in tubbs
tommorow is tie the lower sill in to the inner sill to make it all one piece.

Last one is my exhaust hangers cut on the waterjet . still need to cross drill and tap so it clamps.

I need to give some recognition to Shane Pike Films for the pan shot of the inside of the FC.
Hes a young fella in business taking pics of cars for people.
he also has been editing films from cars shows.

He tells me today he is going strong in business  and sponsoring a race team...

Good on him...
