g'day everyone. Some time back I bought NOS king pin set off e-bay to suit FE FC. But there not for FE FC. The pin is too short. The kit is in it's original Holden box with a part no. of Z1222 stamped on it. I'm thinking it might be for FX FJ. If someone has a parts book or knows what model they fit I would be most interested to find out.   Thanks Dave

Dave,

The genuine king pin replacement kit is part no. 7405149 for all models 48/215 through to FC (and probably beyond).  The king pin itself is part no. 7400106.

While your set may ne NOS, they are not the genuine animal.  I'm not aware of any Holden part numbers prefixed by "Z"

G,day Dave

I have a couple of NOS sets in the original boxes

126mm long

7405149 has HOLDEN stamped on one end of the pin fits 48 - FC

7406754 has HOLDEN  003 stamped on one end of the pin fits FB - HD .003 o/s and 1.8mm thicker than the fe/fc pin

Thats what you look for if the box has been opened

Cheers

I had the same problem with the guy on ebay.  I did tell him that they didn't suit but never returned them.  Surprised he hasn't updated his listing.

On another forum it states that part number Z1222 suits a bedford/vauxhall 1939-48.

Hi, My 1962 Motor spares book stocks the DUFOR king pin kit as a KX16R which suits a Vauxhall, 1939-48
Wyvern, 10 h.p. and also a Bedford JC, 12 h.p., 1939-48 so should be the same as ace says.

The holden one is 1948-57, FJ, FE, FC  KX17R     FB, 1960   KX194R

Cheers Stewy.
