The NSW Club members will be travelling to the Gold Coast in two convoys, one leaving Wednesday (taking 2.5 days to get there), and one leaving Thursday (taking 1.5 days).

Convoy #1
Wed 16th Sydney -> Tamworth ~6 hrs driving
Thur 17th Tamworth -> Grafton ~5 hrs driving
Fri 18th Grafton -> Palm Beach ~4 hrs driving

Convoy #2
Thu 17th Sydney -> Grafton ~8hrs driving
Frii 18th Grafton -> Palm Beach ~4 hrs driving

Obviously the two groups are planning to meet up at Grafton to travel the last leg together.

More information about the accommodation will be available shortly, but for anyone coming from NSW, Vic, ACT or even further afield, please let us know if you want to be part of this group.  Anyone who's been to a Nats before knows the getting there and getting back is half the fun!  And it's always a good idea to travel in a group in case you have trouble like Gertie does Tongue

cheers

John,

At this stage the return journey has not been discussed at length.  It is customary that the trip home is quicker than the trip there, so I'd be surprised if anyone was intending on taking 3 days to get home again (to Sydney anyway).  There was some talk early on about going up inland and coming back along the coast, but until we know when people are planning on returning it's a bit up in the air.  Maybe we can discuss that in a separate topic and see what sort of numbers we get.

Of course, how smooth or rough the trip up was can have a big effect on any plans made now! Grin

cheers
