hi all
picked up a sideplate motor awhile back which had a finned cover with the oil cap at one end and the words holden special at the other just like the old wey etc has anybody any info on these

If only you had said "its weird it has 2 cams"
have never heard of that one before
im guessing being finned its alloy never seen a special one but then again im not that old.

i've seen them with an oil cap at both ends but not at one end like that pics would be good

It sounds a bit like one i've got.
Finned alloy cover, front mounted oil cap and the word Special down the middle.
The writing is i think written in the same style as the Special badge on an FJ.
