Jim I have found someone to do the glass. Reasonable price. Obriens was ridiculous.

Still a fair bit to do but hearing it make a noise sure helps you to get it finished.

Well what a crazy month. Nothing done on the car, but I sure know the airports, lots of travelling for work.

In the interim the trimmer has done my fourth sets of bucket seats. Started with the electric jag, then 79 Land Rover then Toyota Yaris and now these. Not going to mention name.

Black with red stitching and red piping. Low back, finally happy. The Yaris seats just sat to high.

The seats look a treat.  Came up really well.

They look like they have come out of the batmobile.

Great progress on the build. Keep the updates rollin'

Thanks all. Have been messing with a solution for the rear handbrake cable for the commodore axel.

As you can see I am using a hidden turnbuckle to the equaliser and a fitting to a thingy that goes onto the brake lever. I can then use a standard commodore rear cable, $10 from the wrecker.

Can anyone see any issues with this solution?

Thats all i ran  well thats a better idea i used round bar bent at a sharp 90 degrees
should work great fully adjustable

Had to make brackets to support the front of the commodore cable otherwise you will have to find a way to hold the rear section into the commodore backing pad as they pop out . maybe slit it either side and use a brake line clip and dont run supports on the front.

Wayne

Car looks good.
Do you need any other photos from underneath mine as I have utilised tthe Commodore equaliser and a 25cm threaded rod I sourced and reenigineered from the Commodore Hanbrake Lever. I then welded a nut onto the end of it so that it sat inside the yoke and onto the lever itself.

Cheers

Craig some more photo's would help.

Pete thanks. You are the first person that has been able to explain the issue of the cable disconnecting. I think I will need to put in that brake line clip to be sure.

Coming along real nice mate.

Just looked at your vintage air unit and was wondering if it is the mini or the compact and if you could have mounted it higher under the dash at all? I made a box up to the dimensions and with a bit of cutting looks like it'll go up further.

It is the mini. I made the mistake of getting the vacuum type. Should have got the all electric. Had to modify some of the bits. Hopefully finished in a few weeks.

I'm doing the super in my ek it fits nice but theres a lot of working out to get it right, i'm going with the e-z clips system (aeroquip) finding it hard to find who is selling the right hose for that setup and i'm going through the drivers side guard two & 1/2 blockheads & a lot more connextions.but it is fun and keeps the grey cells working
