Time for another update. Not a lot to report but progress has been made.

Shots of the tunnel in place. Its big Smiley

Passenger and drivers side air con vents fitted. At $US exchange rates they weren't a bad price. Have another 2 for the centre console.

In keeping with some recent notable builds the obligatory headlight surrounds as speaker inserts

Start of the Landrover bucket seat frame being fitted.

All in all happy with progress.

Are you gunna go the telly under the car like they did on pimp my ride? Would be a good place to hide from the missus with a tinnie in hand and a good creeper board!  Cheesy Great ideas, thanks for sharing. Should be a comfortable cruiser with all those goodies.

Thanks guys. The "great idea's" have all come from this site, so cannot take credit.

The bloke doing the welding calls the growth's -  boobs. Not sure how they will go acoustically but that does not bother me. Used to cacklin tapes so any improvement on that is fine.

Again thanks for the support.

Wayne, I've done the same with mine, I have been told that if I spray stone guard or similar inside the pod, it will help contain the sound. Another bloke told me to use dyna mat or similar sound deadening matting.

Nice tunnel and speaker holes.. think i will be doing that myself.

Looking back on an earlier photo, did you get your pedal assembly powder coated or painted?

Cheers

Boobs normally have a good sound deadening quality, so should be ok  Lips sealed

Yep, left the original holes and positioned them low mine are FB units which have a long rubber tube so I can run the speaker wires through them. How did you go with the spare wheel door or have'nt you got that far?

Hopefully have that and the fuel tank sorted after the seats.

I will leave the holes in the boobs then and keep the wires out of the way.

G'day Wayne,

Am enjoying watching the progress on your ute - some very neat little tricks there.  Love the air vents - very period.  Thats a great idea for the speaker mounts - would never thought of doing that.

Look forward to seeing more progress.

Cheers, Graeme

Yours is coming along well. You are way ahead of me  Wink but it's not a race, I enjoy working on them when I am in the mood.

Little bit of progress.

Buckets seats now almost complete. Some cosmetic work to frame.

Car now back home.

And some photo's of the Clutch Mater cylinder in. Pretty good solution, now clearing the diaphragm of the Disc Brakes. Its a Celica Master Cylinder. $40 from Ebay.

Had to enlarge the hole through the firewall by about 5mm. It was easier getting at it with no engine bay. The round file got a workout. Anyway I'm pretty happy with the result.
