Howdy Fred

I've just done a few searches on this topic myself recently and I went with Loctite 406 - that's what the guys on here have recommended in the past.  I can tell you that I now agree with their recommendations! Gives you a little bit of time before you commit and you don't need much either.

A little tip - if you can't find it on the shelves at your local auto-related shop ask the staff of they have it.  Motor Traders / Coventry Fasteners (where I got it from) keep it in a fridge out the back!  Cheesy

My advice is the same - don't use too much glue and avoid contact adhesive like the plague. The rubbers will generally sit in position exactly where needed and I use a small dab of superglue where needed to hold them in place.

If you only use small amount you will be able to easily remove the rubbers at a later stage if needed and re-use them if necessary.

The 1/4 vent rubber should just push into place.
