FE and FC Floor Mats (black only) and Boot Mats are available from

OBSOLETE RUBBER MATS

0412 941 799

ITEM----Price/Unit
Front Mat$280 ea
Rear Mat$280 ea
Boot Mat$280 ea
MudflapsFront$70 pr
Rear$70 pr

The brackets for the mud-flaps are available from:
Sam 03 5822 1379
Brackets are $60/pr front or rear

If anyone can provide updated prices that would be most appreciated.

cheers

Hi.
The Rare Spares ones are NOTHING like the originals. In my opinion, they are poxy looking. Martin at Obsolete Rubber does a near perfect copy. I have a repo front floor mat & am totally stoked with it. PERFECT!! I was happy to pay the $$$.
Get the mudflaps from him, as they are so much better.

Rob

I have just ordered a new boot mat from Obselete (sold one of the kids to slavery to get the money, after all FC's DO come first Grin) so I'll take some photos for you.

There is also a advert & picture in Unique Cars each month just at the end of the colour section.

Cheers,

Craig.

I just ordered a set of brackets from Sam.

He also reproduces FC scuff plates in satin stainless steel. $240 a set.

I've ordered a set, so I'll report back on what they are like!

Martin at Obsolete Rubber Mats is beyond reproach he is great to deal with and very honest and his product is A1 i have purchased a number of sets of mud flaps from him and one floor mat and they are all great. Richard i think Sam Crupi in Shepparton is getting out of retro bits ,tony mentioned it too me at Hanging Rock i will check it out and let you know. The rare Spares mud flaps look appalling and not at all original.

I'm guessing its 'Obsolete Rubber mats'. Thats what it says on their card. No address is given so I think you will have to give them a ring.

Painting these mats...

Painting these mats is no problem either. I have painted these floormats on my EK using Dupont Vinyl paint. The great thing about this vinyl paint is that it comes in an endless array of colours, as the paint formula is taken off Arylic paint formula's with the vinyl binder added. It is also a one pack application and does not require hardeners or thinning, opposed to 2K. The paint along with the mats wear equally as well as the originals!

Prior to painting the mats i would leave them in the car for a number of mounths to mould into shape. Then take the matts out paint and refit them.

Sorry Emu, no pictures  Embarrassed

The quality is EXTREMELY good though, and I would highly recommend them as a supplier.

One of the best repros of any part.

Cheers,

Craig.
