hi all
I'm after some suggestion on how to get my guard off to do some repairs
what parts do i take off. Does the grill have to come out first? etc
or would it be easy do it on the car? my mate that is going to do it says it would be easier
with it off especially the rear peace
it needs a head light panel and a Top rear section fitted

Generally don"t need to take the grille out but there are a lot of bolts which attach the guard to the grille. You also need to undo the light harnesses, the outer bumper bolts and the three bolts in behind the drivers side kick panel. All the others are fairly obvious.Cheers,Jamie.

Dont forget the bolt from hell, right up in the top corner of the guard at the rear.

What you talkin about Willis? My bolt from hell as you eloquently describe only took me 3 hours and unable to stand straight since.

The easiest way to remove the bolt is to get out your old cheap and nasty 3/8 drive socket set. The extension bar with socket JUST fits past the door hinge bracket and will remove the bolt nicely.
You do have to be lying on your back though to see where you are going.
A 1/2 inch drive extension wont fit.

Ha ha, now i know why its the bolt from hell, the drivers side on mine was on an angle and i broke 2 1/4 inck unis getting it out. taking off the door made it easier.
