Petrol Flow

Hi guys, have had the car parked for five years, so dropped the dirty fuel out of the tank. I disconnected the fuel line at the pump and blew the old fuel down the line back to the tank and out. For some reason we now cant get fuel to flow from the tank even after putting 40 ltr of fuel in, any ideas why no flow. Fitted new fuel pump, had car running with jerry can but not pumping fuel from tank, any ideas.

I bet the braided rubber hose you disconnected is now broken inside. It will be now sucking air through the holes rather than petrol from the tank.
Remove the hose and check for leaks.

Could have sucked up a bit of crap from the bottom of the tank and blocked the line, if you've got good lungs try disconnecting the hose from the fuel pump and then blowing air into the filler hole to see if any fuel comes through, i bought a car once that ran beautifully around town but would die every few k's in the 100 kph. zone, replaced the carby then the fuel pump. had me stuffed until i found a little beetle carcass stuck in the brass fitting on the tank.

Guys where is the best place in Sydney to buy the flexible fuel line from the steel fuel line to the petrol pump.

I used pirtek to get a braided fuel hose made up.  I think they needed some of the old fittings.

The easiest way if not seeking originality is to use the fitting from a red motor fuel pump and replace the braided line with rubber fuel hose - make sure you use hose clamps each end.

The Premium way would be using AN fittings with -6 braided stainless hose it lasts for many many many years .no problems getting a fitting for the fuel pump but would need a male -6  fitting silver soldered on the end of the fuel line ....Earl's ,Russel or Speedflow can supply all that is needed ...........FC427.......
