I am in the process of downsizing the fleet and as odd as it may seem part of that is the sale of Thelma.
For those of you not familar with her, this is her story
http://fefcholden.org.au/forum/index.php/topic,13215.0.htmlBodywise, she is a rarity because we haven't found any rust in her and no evidence of rust repairs anywhere. She has been repainted in the past and the paint is good. I am the second owner and I have the original handbook and some history. She came from Warwick in Queensland.
The trim is original, drivers seat has collapsed on the drivers side, but the material is good. Headlining is good, she has never been smoked in. Load area material is in good condition as is rear floor mat, I have a NOS mat for the front. The window rubbers are persihed and need replacing. She comes with the parcel shelf visible in one of the photos. I have added front seat belts in red to match the interior.
Mechanically she is fabulous, I have reconditioned everything, entire front end, drag link, gearbox, diff is a recoed 3.36, full polished stainless exhaust, all linkages have been repaired, radiator, generator, dissy etc., I have detailed the motor build in the thread. The engine is the original one. She fires up with a twist of the key, no choke required and sounds fabulous. The brakes are woeful and not up to the performance, I was going to fit EH front drums.
The engine was rebuilt by a race car engineer, check out the carby linkages. So if you want a rust free, original and fast FC wagon with period mods, this might be the car for you. Price is $15,000, I am embarassed to say what she owes me.
If you are interested call me on 0417 663565.
Cheers
