Ben,

I think the lock is held in place similar to the door locks. If you can access the inside of the boot from inside the car, then you should be able to remove the plate that holds the lock in place. Then get out of the car, remove the lock, and you should be able to open the boot with a flat screw driver the same way as the lock would have. Clear as. It should work.

Cheers Rusty

Much easier is to undo the 2 x 7'16 head bolts which hold the lower catch in place. If you use 3 or 4 long extensions, you don't even need to crawl into the boot area.

Hey Ben

It can't be hard 'cos EVEN I managed to fix mine when it got jammed.

Pulled the back of the seat out, crawled in the boot, unbolted the lock, opened the boot

AND......shock and suprise

put it all back together and it works  Grin

Of course, if all else fails, just cut a hole in the boot lid about the size of a fist and then just reach in and open! Sorted!  Grin

Paul, maybe you've been over there a little too long?  ;
