I think the DRZ is the better choice that first one looks like too much hard work , Nice riding country down there by the look of it. Pedro

Thanks Jack, I tidied the rear up with a roll pan and frenched the plate too... looks factory!
Paul, It's a 1990 Holden Rodeo, the front shot is in my avatar.
Pedro, Riding the pushbike, keeps me fit enough to ride the dirt bike.. strange but true.. Heading across Vic again this November for a 3-day ride.. Should be great!
Cheers

Hey Ed,
That's an impressive looking roadie you've got. Out of curiosity, what does it weigh, and what components is it running? Dura Ace? Sram? I reckon it would be a very quick bit of gear.
I've also got the bike bug - my commuter is my retired downhill racer, a Mongoose Black Diamond hardtail, and my weekender is a Bianchi Reparto Corse 2 SL. Don't know about you, but I prefer the predictability of a mountain bike over the skittish nature of a roadie. Still, a full carbon bike is the ducks' guts...
Cheers,
Josh

HEy Still-uted, Nice pic! I'm liking my DRZ more and more.. I've been tinkering with it and now I'm able to keep up with all the boys riding Orange :-) racetech suspension, jetted carb, pipe and just added CRF mater cylinders for better brake modulation (a good easy mod). Out of curiosity, does the DRZ fit in a FC ute? maybe we can hit some trails around Orange at the Nats lol. Hi Josh, It's pretty low spec with 105 group and even crappier wheels (WHR500's). Having said that, it performs well and I can out climb most of my mates on higher spec bikes. Next upgrades will be better group and wheels. it weighs around 8kg.... but can weigh it more accurately to know. but it is fast and easily mixes it with better bikes I'm looking to get a MTB as the next bike tho, but seem to get my dirt fix on the moto at the moment. road bikes aren't twitchy at all, they're responsive!. Cheers Ed

Who needs speed when you got style! So, I'm guessing you don't drive the wagon at all then?

SRV, no, the wagon was sold over a year ago now, so it's been a while since I've driven it. Hey Tayz! I like how you said "Bloody KTM" lol I'm eyeing off a Husky TE310 for future duties but for now enjoying the old DRZ. As you said bugger all maintenance, however I still manage to pull mine apart after every ride Cheers Ed

road bikes aren't twitchy at all, they're responsive! No way Ed, they are very twitchy! This is my "weekender" ... My super twitchy Bianchi. This is my everyday commuter ... I retired it from downhill duties last year. I crashed it and broke my neck. Now the bike (and I) only see road duties, to and from work. A very solid bike that I love to bits. Not so good going up hills, but it's an absolute cracker going down them! Ol_Girl_58
