Ladies & Gentlemen it is with much ado about nothing that I introduce my "Nats" project "RATTED OUT". Many have seen it before in the JOD34N's new holden thead. OK time to be sensible. I won't have the time or money to get the car up to the standard I wanted to before the nats as I don't have the skills to do it all myself. So I am now going to build the old girl up as a 'ratrod'. I have nearly all the parts for this type of build & it is a way of utilising parts that would of been sat on the shelf & never used. Plan is Flat black, 186 & 5 speed, HR front end, HR diff rolling on tasmans (if I can find another pair).New parts will be rubber kit, brakes, suspension bushes & maybe a rewire. Let the fun begin. Dean.

If you haven't grown up by 50, you don't have to.

Well after getting the grey & white car scratched the other day project "ratted out" is back in the planning stages. I will be using a different base vehicle though. She is going in for a new set of floor pans in a couple of weeks, other than that it is pretty well rust free. I will keep you posted. Dean.

Looks like she's already pretty well ratted out Dean, just throw in an engine, grill, headlights and a set of tasmans and you're on the road Pedro

Keith at this stage I am thinking Grey, but with a mild work-over. Not quite sure on gearbox, I have spoken to a couple of FJ racers who suggested getting a crashbox fitted out with EH internals. Diff & brakes will possibly be EH.
Cheers, Dean.

Having trouble deciding which way to go with the project. To paint or not to paint, it will not be stored under cover & will be a daily driver. Suppose it has lasted this long . put in a poll to get some feedback. Thanks, Dean.

yeah flat black with purple and white pinstripes and paint the chrome silver frost, but you don't want to put those horrible Tasmans on it. They should be donated to a good cause. Dave
