I have invited my local Car Club to check out my "Holden Museum" for its "Official Opening", in Oct. I plan to have the original Holden Radio Advert. playing as the background theme. I know the JW Swing Orchestra has recorded a cover version of this & am in the process of obtaining a copy from John.
The National Library can only supply copies of the original sheet music. So far I have not been able to get a sound copy of the Ad. Can anyone help me out? If you could download a copy onto a CD, please let me know.More than happy to cover costs & add something for your assistance.  Cheers old-blu.

John Wanner's Swing Band's cover version of " Holdin you in my Holden" is no longer available. John informs me that the CD sold 2 years ago. So, I guess this is now a legitimate request!  Is there a member out there who has this CD and is willing to copy his cover version of "Holdin you in my Holden"? As previously mentioned; I would like to play this as the background theme during the opening of my recently completed Museum. I have had a response regarding the original radio advertisement and look forward to receiving a copy. Would appreciate any help on this one please. Cheers old-blu. Huh

Hey Kevin
Try this site for a copy of the original.
http://earlyholdens.com/shoppe/viewitem.php?groupid=4&productid=39

I think I have the song on the soundtrack for Shout, might be sung by David Campbell from memory.
Let me know if you want me to try to dig it out.

Hey Dean.
No problem mate.
Now send it to me,  Wink as I don't have quicktime pro 7, so can't down load it.
Ringtone sounds like a great idea. Do you need my phone number?

Thanks to this Forum [ and the great responses I received], I now have the Holden Radio Ads. from the 50's onwards to the EH. Also TV ads for the early models.  These will be playing during the Opening of my Museum. I have to say that I feel humbled by the interest shown from Forum Members.  Thanks old-blu. Wink
