If you haven't grown up by 50, you don't have to.

G'day all, just wondering if someone could steer me in the right direction as far as joining a club goes, I've been messaging the QLD. club for the past two weeks asking for a membership form but have recieved no reply, unfortunately the QLD. part of the club contact details is also missing from the post above, I hadn't joined earlier as i was under the impression you had to be able to attend meetings and compulsory events like i had with bike clubs.

You know how sometimes things take longer than you think and other times they just don't want to know you.....

Maybe this is one of the other times??  Wink

On the other hand, clubs are run by volunteers, usually only meet monthly and try to minimise postage costs.  If a magazine is due out, my club would hold off sending a separate piece of mail with a receipt and then send the receipt with the magazine.  Sometimes human error means a new name isn't immediately added to the mailing list and that can cause a delay.  Sometimes the volunteer involved is just flat out with other things and takes a little longer than would be ideal.

An email to the appropriate committee member is the best way to go if there is any doubt about whether your membership application has been received.

Cheers

Now why am i not suprised it's you putting the other boot in Jack Shocked, I can see I'm never going hear the end of that rubber pants joke Roll Eyes(and to everyone else reading this no i don't have incontinence) Cheesy, I'm definately going to have to make it to Orange now just so i can drag you off and then drink all your rum Tongue Tongue Grin Grin.

Thanks Greg, I was going to wait a bit longer and then give Ron a ring just to make sure they got it, Stinky sent me a pm saying it can take up to six weeks depending on when the application was sent in so i guess I'll just have to learn to be a bit more patient Lips sealed.

Pedro, I'm a responsible Senior Citizen with far too much respect for the law to be tempted (even by a bottle of Queensland diesel!) to indulge in illegal drag-racing.
However, I'll be more than happy to share my bottle with you just so long as you get to Orange (being a fisherman I'll have a drink with almost anyone!)

I seem to recall a certain respectable senior citizen involved in some extra curricular protest activities against a certain council a little while ago Grin Grin, guess I'll just have to settle with having a sipper with you then Wink.
