I bought a chromed oil breather cap (original one chrome plated) thru eBay to match up with the alloy tappet cover for my grey motor.

Have noticed that the cap doesn't have the steel mesh stuff inside the cavity, so I'm thinking that the cap will be useless in restricting cr*p from entering the tappet area.

Does anyone have an idea how I can re-fill the cap, or other idea (apart from binning it!)  Huh

thanks
Cam

You will need to separate it somehow and then rejoin. Maybe drill out spotwelds?
