Brake/Clutch reservoirs

Hi All

I am going to try taking the tin pots off the brake and clutch reservoirs. A couple of ideas come to mind, one being heat the other brute force.
Since these things look kinda delicate, I would feel like a real tool if I damaged them.
Any ideas?
I have sprayed them with Inox but if that does not work..................I'm open to suggestions.

I opted for the easy way out with mine, I took them to a local brake and clutch centre, he took them off while I waited, no damage, no charge.

Do you have the old style oil filter removal tool? I have used that on other things like air locked petrol caps - might work on the pots and the material wouldn't damage them I wouldn't think.

Hey All

I might be able to dig up an old oil filter removal tool.
I don't want to take it to someone else in case they don't care as much as I do about the condition of the pots.
At least I'm not in a hurry as I have new reservoirs on the car.

Try dipping them in a mollases bath. Works wonders on rust disintegration.
