So no-one noticed the subtle name change then lol...
Couple of days work just before the weekend, with some rubbers fro the tailgate installed and the floor for the tray finally done.
Got a sheet of 19mm marine ply with a AA finish and cut to shape then using a router to adjust for depth. Pretty happy with the result.
Fixed some wiring issues with the Air Cond, blower fan and the stereo, and nearly got the ABS working. Replaced the ABS module again after the previous 3 from the wreckers were faulty and got the code that I had been waiting for.
Code 28- Wheel Speed Sensor Frequency Error.
Initially I thought it was going to be there from the larger rear tyres giving me 23mm difference in height, but then started looking at it a bit deeper realised that I need to make a sensor ring that will send the correct information as the VT independent rear end had large sensor rings and the VS diff that I am using the rings are contained in the diff so are a lot smaller.
So here is the problem for anyone to have a crack at...
1. I need to work out the amount of pulses sent per km for the VT sensor ring with wheels measuring 235/45/17 (the largest standard commodore wheel size)
2. The amount of teeth on the VT sensor ring
3. Convert this to what I know with the VS diff which is my tyre size 285/40/17 (32 teeth x 482.43 rotations per km =15437 pulses sent/km) Front tyres are 205/50/17
4. Get 2 new sensor rings made and pressed onto the axles.
5. Hope that this is my final problem and the ABS self test positively and I have ABS.
Thats my current thinking,so maybe someone else has another way of solving the issue
Cheers
